Ballon d’Or Nominees Star in Rakuten TV’s Champions

Champions, a documentary series featuring Ballon d’Or nominees Alexia Putellas and Wendie Renard, is set to launch on Rakuten TV on December 2.

In Champions, 19 footballers from three generations are followed, representing over eight nationalities and six countries. They include athletes who currently play for six of the world’s top football clubs, with each having her own unique story and background.

In addition to Putellas (FC Barcelona) and Renard (Olympique Lyonnais), Champions stars Lucy Bronze (Manchester City), Barbara Bonansea (Juventus), Julia Simic (Milán) and Stina Blackstenius (Montpellier HSC), as well as Kelly Smith, Carolina Morace, Tatiana and Silvana Flores, Bendetta Orsi and Sonia Ouchene.

Champions will be available free and exclusively on Rakuten TV’s Rakuten Stories collection.
