Autentic Studios Lines Up New Jane Goodall Doc

Autentic Studios has begun production on The Science of Hope (w.t.) with scientist and conservationist Jane Goodall.

“We have embarked on a worldwide search for stories that inspire hope,” said Tom Zwiessler, producer and head of Autentic Studios. “With this documentary, we aim to show that, beyond the daily doomsday mood, there is also another perspective—one that is essential for the survival of humanity.”

The film is being directed by Philipp Grieß (ARD’s Expedition Arktis). The director of photography is Emmy Award winner Tobias Corts (Netflix’s The Ivory Game).

The German broadcasting partner is ProSieben. The production is funded by the Film- und Fernsehfond FFF Bayern and supported by the Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt. An international version will be globally distributed by Autentic Distribution starting in autumn 2025.

“Every one of us makes an impact on the planet every day, and we get to choose what impact we make,” Goodall noted.
