Autentic Distribution Sells Raft of Docs

Autentic Distribution has closed sales with various international broadcasters across Australia, Asia and Europe for its documentary content.

Magical Train Journeys in Switzerland, which takes viewers on a journey through Switzerland’s alpine landscapes, has been picked up by Croatian broadcaster HRT in a package that includes Love & Dolce Vita—History of the Amalfi Coast, The Magical World of Spices and The Hidden Beauty of Northern France.

SBS Australia has acquired a 30-hour package from the German factual specialist. This includes the documentaries Flowers and Fire—Outback Adventures in Western Australia, Scotland—The New Wild and Magical Train Journeys in Switzerland.

Al Jazeera Documentary has acquired an array of documentaries exploring diverse regions around the world, such as The Kingdom of Jordan, Nepal—A Journey from West to East and In a Sea of Dust and Stars—Hiking Mauritania, as well as Climate Chronicles.

Canal+ in Poland also secured Nuclear Power Plants in War Zones—A New Threat?, Lethal Weapons—The Future of Drone Wars, Sri Lanka—Leopards of Yala and Hot Roads—The World’s Most Dangerous Roads III. Canal+ has also picked up several titles for their channel Planete+, including Golden Kingdom: The Normans in Sicily, Uncovering Hitler’s Failed Putsch of 1923 and On the Precipice: The Alps. Canal+ Kuchina will feature the newest season of At Our Neighbour’s Table.

French Ushuaïa TV acquired 18 hours of programming, including Sri Lanka—Leopards of Yala, In the Heart of America and World’s Most Dangerous Railway Lines.

Estonia’s ERR, Latvian LTV and Asharq Documentary have acquired the current affairs documentary 75 Years of NATO—New Challenges and Chances.

The wildlife two-parter Raptors, detailing the success of the hunters, has found homes with Japanese Broadcaster NHK, South Korean KBS and Spanish RTVE in a 12-hour Terra Mater Studio deal, which also includes The Wild Sides, Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla, A Cheetah’s Pride and Patrick the Whale.

Portugal’s RTP has secured 14 hours of wildlife programming, featuring titles such as Nature’s Changes, The View from on High and Baltic National Parks.

Spafax has enriched its inflight entertainment offerings with The Wild Sides, Morava—River of Ancient Times, Wild Beauty of Germany’s Islands and The Paradox of Salt—Blessing or Curse?, while Library Media Solutions has secured the rights to the documentary Cher and the Loneliest Elephant and Light and Glamour—History of the French Riviera.
