Autentic Distribution Inks Raft of Sales

Autentic Distribution has secured a host of sales for programs around the world, including for the new 9/11 feature In Search of Monsters.

In Search of Monsters, from Hoferichter & Jacobs, follows a formerly imprisoned and officially exonerated alleged al-Qaeda terrorist. It has been sold to Deutsche Welle, Switzerland’s SRF, Norway’s VGTV, Finland’s YLE, Belgium’s VTM, TV3 Catalunya, Al Jazeera and Japan’s NHK.

In the German-speaking region, Autentic made a package deal with Kabel1Doku, owned by ProSiebenSat.1, including Container Ship XXL, season one of Stone Men and Return to the Moon. The German free-TV channel ntv picked up season two of What Went Wrong and prebought Empire Builders: China, as well as Empire Builders: Ancient Greece and Empire Builders: Dutch Golden Age, both of which will be launched during MIPCOM. N24Doku picked up Engineering the Future and Badass Professions, while ORF Universum acquired Napoleon—The Beginning of the End.

In Canada, Knowledge Network acquired Berlin 1945, while Norway’s NRK and Sweden’s UR both picked up One year in Norway’s Lofoten.

In Central and Eastern Europe, Hungary’s MTVA acquired a 32-hour package that includes At Our Neighbour’s Table, while Poland’s free-TV channel TVN acquired a 70-hour package deal that includes season two of What Went Wrong. Another 70-hour package deal was sealed with the Czech Republic’s FTV Prima, which includes Engineering the Future, Plague Island, The Dyatlov Pass Incident and By Mail Ship through the South Seas. Disney CEE licensed ten hours for Nat Geo with titles like Europe’s Forgotten Dictatorships and The Science of… Additionally, Greece’s ERT picked up Love around the World and History of Home, among others.

In the Middle East and Northern Africa, Bloomberg Asharq added over 12 hours of content, with titles like Container Ship XXL, Engineering the Future and History of Food.
