Autentic Distribution Inks Raft of Factual Deals

Autentic Distribution has closed a series of sales with various international broadcasters for its factual content, including a 59-hour package deal with CANAL+ Poland.

CANAL+ Poland has acquired all three seasons of Hot Roads—The World’s Most Dangerous Roads, along with Deadly Roads, Highway to the Arctic—Canada’s Ice Roads, the automotive series Grip and all four seasons of the history program What Went Wrong, which explores the man-made disasters and catastrophes that shocked the world.

National Geographic has secured the worldwide rights to seasons one and two of Colossal Machines, exploring the engineering and technology behind some of the world’s most massive and complex machines.

NHK Japan has added two documentaries from Autentic Distribution to its lineup. A Life Among Elephants tells the story of pioneering scientist and maverick conservationist Iain Douglas-Hamilton, who dedicated his life to saving elephants in Africa, while Wings of Courage—The Eagle Huntress of Mongolia is about a young girl determined to break into the male-dominated tradition of eagle hunting.
