Autentic Distribution Inks Deals Ahead of MIPCOM

The factual distributor Autentic Distribution is heading to MIPCOM with sales that send its catalog around the world.

Autentic Studios’ third season of the adventure series Hot Roads—The World’s Most Dangerous Roads has been picked up by Red Bull Media House’s Servus TV in a presale deal, while the first and second seasons of the series have gone to CH Media.

Swiss broadcaster SRF acquired the two Autentic Studios productions Mission Saving Paradise—Expedition to the Last Treasures of the Indian Ocean and Adventure Israel—Hiking the National Trail in a 15-title package deal. More titles include Western Cape—Africa’s Garden Eden and Women Above the Clouds.

Germany’s Telekom also took an Autentic Studios production for its channel #dabei. They signed a deal including Badass Professions II, a series about jobs that require skill, ability and courage.

History series A Cold War of Spies, produced by Go Button Media in collaboration with Autentic Studios, is part of a 17-hour package deal with Swedish UR, a 13-hour deal with Danish DR and has been sold to PBS America in the U.K. as well as to the Arab broadcaster Asharq. Asharq also picked up Mapping Disaster.

Czech FTV Prima also acquired Mapping Disaster as part of a 44-hour deal, which includes Alien Contact and Portugal—Wild & Untamed, as well as Engineering Extreme—Rehauling a High-Speed Train.

Deadly Science, another production by Go Button Media in partnership with Autentic Studios, was picked up by ZDFinfo. National Geographic Channels International has taken the worldwide rights for The Hummingbird Effect and Soul of the Ocean.

Thai PBS has picked up 31 hours of Terra Mater Studios Productions, including The Sharks of Hawaii and Canada—Surviving the Wild North, while Germany’s RTL inked a deal for 38 Terra Mater Studios titles to go to its channel Geo Television. Programs include Wondrous & Wild, Dust and Stripes and Miami Wild.

Roots of Life went to Rai in Italy while a package of 6 blue-chip titles was picked by Mediaset. RTVE Spain stocked up, amongst other titles, with 9 hours of Terra Mater Studios content including Once Upon a Time in Tsavo.

Canal+ Poland also took up three wildlife titles from Autentic Distribution, together with science program Hormones Have No Gender, Undressed—The History of Nudity and In the Grip of Gazprom.
