Amazon has given the green light to the original unscripted motorsport series The Gymkhana Files from professional rally driver Ken Block, exclusively for Prime Video.

The Gymkhana Files chronicles the making of GymkhanaTEN, the tenth installment of Block’s award-winning Gymkhana film series. The eight-episode series will offer an exclusive look at the filming of one of the biggest viral campaigns of all time, along with the untold stories and never-before-seen footage from Block’s nine previous films. The series was created and executive produced by Block, Brian Scotto and Gil Marsden, and produced by Hoonigan Media Machine. Marsden serves as showrunner.

Block is a professional rally driver with Hoonigan Racing Division, one of the co-founders of Hoonigan and Hoonigan Media Machine, and was also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes. His Gymkhana series has amassed more than 500 million views.

“The inner workings of the wildly popular Gymkhana film series have long been a mystery to its large and rabid fan base, and we are thrilled to provide Amazon Prime members worldwide with an exclusive look into the making of Gymkhana 10,” said Heather Schuster, the head of unscripted for Amazon Originals. “Ken and the Hoonigan team will take viewers on a wild ride unlike anything they’ve seen before.”

“I’m really excited to be working on GymkhanaTEN and I’m stoked that Pennzoil was able to come in and support us getting a teaser video out today to help announce the video,” said Block. “I’m also legitimately excited to be able to announce that I’m collaborating with Amazon Prime Video on The Gymkhana Files at the same time. I’ve always taken great pride in being on the leading edge of creating content, as well as viral marketing and in figuring out the best ways to get that content into the hands of fans and consumers. Amazon is very similar in their approach to what they’ve done over the years and I think that together we’re going to create some amazing programming that really gives fans and viewers insight into not just my world, but the inner workings of my Gymkhana films and at the end of it all, the fans get to watch GymkhanaTEN during the final episode.”
