Video: Albatross World Sales’ Anne Olzmann

At Albatross World Sales, Anne Olzmann, the company’s managing director, has noticed a boost in demand for factual content, particularly for titles across natural history and travel that offer a bit of escapism, as well as those that delve into environmental issues. To meet this demand, Albatross has been sourcing more programming than ever before while staying true to its boutique character. “We’re mostly looking for very specific projects; we still sell the one hour to one broadcaster,” says Olzmann. “We are very much in love with our programs and the individual titles that we have.”

In this video interview with Anna Carugati, World Screen’s group editorial director, Olzmann also discusses the importance of getting involved in projects early on, current trends in the factual genre and the ever-complicated business of managing rights.
