Netflix Introduces Real-Time Voting for Live Shows

As part of a plan to expand immersive and interactive viewing experiences, Netflix is introducing real-time voting that will allow viewers to affect the outcome of its live shows.

Netflix has already been testing the feature on its live cooking show Dinner Time Live with David Chang and plans to roll it out more broadly with the upcoming reboot of Star Search in 2026.

Beyond live programming, Netflix is also exploring real-time engagement for formats like Party Games for TV and, eventually, podcasts.

Additionally, Netflix is introducing immersive homepage experiences designed to bring titles to life through animation and dynamic effects.

CTO Elizabeth Stone made the announcement about Netflix’s expanded immersive and interactive viewing experiences at TechCrunch 2025.
