TVF International Secures Deals Across Asia

TVF International has closed a number of sales across Asia with NHK, Al Jazeera International, Phoenix Television, National Geographic India and more.

“There is an increasing appetite for factual content in Asia, and TVF’s international slate of programming continues to appeal to broadcasters in the region,” said Daniyal Bari, sales manager at TVF International. “From premium history covering everything from Asia’s ancient history to untold stories of WWII, to travel and wildlife set in the region, our catalog connects with audience demands across Asia.”

Japan’s NHK licensed Channel 4’s Nazi Space Race and Channel News Asia’s Silent Soldiers: Russia’s Foreign Mercenaries. It also acquired China’s Wild Secrets, co-produced by TVF International and bili bili.

Al Jazeera International signed a deal for the two-part ocean conservation series Rewilding Sharks and the investigative world affairs documentary The Digital Hostage.

Pan-Asian network Phoenix Television picked up Untold Arctic Wars: The Cold War, Empires of Silver and season 11 of Undercover Asia.

National Geographic India licensed over 20 hours across wildlife, history and world affairs. The package deal includes Return from Extinction, Weird Britain, Fact vs Fiction: Fake News in India and This Way Up: World’s Most Dangerous Highways.

Also in India, Discovery acquired Aerial India, India on Film and Asia in the Great War: India’s Forgotten Army.

In Singapore, Mediacorp TV inked a deal for Vietnam from Above, Little Big World and Alleys: Off the Beaten Track.

Hong Kong and Macau’s pay-TV channel Now TV picks up a package featuring 24 Hours that Changed the World and Golden Opulence: 500 Years of Luxury in Anatolia.
