BBC Studios Scores Raft of Presales for Planet Earth III

BBC Studios has sealed international presales for the third installment of its Natural History Unit’s landmark series Planet Earth, presented by Sir David Attenborough.

Planet Earth III has been presold in Australia (Nine), Belgium (VRT), Czech Republic (Česká televize), Denmark (DR), Italy (Mediaset), New Zealand (TVNZ), Spain (Movistar Plus+) and Sweden (SVT), alongside a set of deals in Asia.

In Japan, the show is a co-production in association with NHK. In China, it has been acquired by Shanghai Media Group for its linear channel and by streaming platforms such as Bilibili, iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku and China Mobile’s Migu Video.

Planet Earth III will also be available on the BBC Nordic channel and the BBC Earth channel in Asia, Canada, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, MENA, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain and Turkey. It is also headed to Sony BBC Earth in India, BBC Earth SVOD in Taiwan and BBC iPlayer in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

The eight-part series is produced by BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit and co-produced by BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions in partnership with The Open University.
