Netflix Teams with Blue Planet II Creator on Oceans

Netflix has ordered a natural-history series that will spotlight the world’s oceans from Freeborne Media, the production outfit set up by Blue Planet II creator James Honeyborne.

The multipart series is tentatively titled Oceans. It marks the first project to emerge from Netflix’s previously announced partnership with Honeyborne’s company.

Each episode will focus on a different ocean, combining oceanography, geography and earth sciences to experience the elements in a new way.

Production is slated to begin later this year.
