TVOntario Acquires Second Season of Meerkat Manor

SYDNEY, March 19:
Canada’s TVOntario has acquired the second season of the award-winning
“animal soap opera” Meerkat Manor as
well as the one-hour wildlife special Leopard Man of Ngala from Southern Star International.

Films for Animal Planet, Meerkat Manor is
currently in its third season with a total of 39 half hours. The series follows
the trials and tribulations of a family of meerkats in Africa.

The Leopard Man of Ngala
explores the remarkable relationship that Fanie, a member of the ancient
Shangaan tribal group known for its legendary tracking skills, has with
leopards. Boxer said the film will “delight viewers with the engaging
storytelling style of its African-born narrator, paired with the stunning
images of scenery and wildlife.”
