STARZ Play Ties Up with NBCU

DUBAI: STARZ Play and NBCUniversal International Distribution have inked a new deal that brings a number of popular TV box sets, U.S. series and movies to the streaming service across the MENA region.

The additions include series such as Mr. Robot and Bates Motel, along with box sets of 12 Monkeys and Heroes. STARZ Play subscribers will also be able to watch both seasons of Shades of Blue. The deal with NBCUniversal also brings a number of popular feature films to the service. These include titles such as Luc Besson’s Lucy, The Bourne Legacy, The Purge and Despicable Me.

Maaz Sheikh, CEO of STARZ Play, said: “NBCUniversal is known to cater to a broad audience and we are delighted to announce our deal with such a reputable studio. From the Fast and the Furious films—Universal Pictures’ biggest franchise of all time—to the Jurassic Park movies, Universal Pictures delivers some of the most popular titles in the world of cinematography.”
