TORONTO: Peace Point Rights has sold the feature film Nightrunners to Calabar Media City for EbonyLife TV.

This marks the first commercial sale of the feature film, which is co-produced by Canada’s Plus 8 Pictures and High Park Entertainment alongside Kenya’s Kanyala Little Stars. Nightrunners is a psychological thriller, written and directed by Rowan Nicole Nielsen, about a young woman who travels to a remote Kenyan island plagued by malaria to help at the local orphanage. When she hears terrifying noises at night, she wonders if the “nightrunners” of folklore are terrorizing her, or if it’s her own demons.

The film stars Mandi Nicholson, Grace Glowicki and Neville Misati. It was produced by Nielsen, Carole Aeschelmann and Roberto Biagi, and executive produced by Thomas Walden, Eric Birnberg, the late Benta Odhiambo and Fostine Opiyo Odhiambo.
