OSN Lines Up New Amsterdam, Succession & More from the U.S.

OSN has a range of U.S. series, including the new medical drama New Amsterdam, coming to viewers in the Middle East.

Premiering on OSN Series HD First on October 1, the fast-paced series New Amsterdam is inspired by Bellevue, America’s oldest public hospital. It stars Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist) as Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution’s newest medical director, whose caring yet uncompromising style shakes up the status quo at the ailing hospital.

Another U.S. medical drama, The Good Doctor, premieres on October 1. Magnum P.I., a reboot of the 1980s series starring Tom Selleck, debuts on October 4.

Succession, a brand-new HBO drama that follows a wealthy yet dysfunctional American global media family, is premiering on OSN First HD (Home of HBO) on September 10. HBO’s Sharp Objects heads to OSN Play on September 9 with the complete box set available at launch.

The 70th Emmy Awards will air on OSN Series HD First on September 18, complemented by E!’s Live from the Red Carpet: The 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards on E! Entertainment.

In the way of factual, on OSN First HD, Reality Check is a new block of topical documentaries, airing every Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. The block will launch on September 14 with the premiere of John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls and other Saturday premieres include Swiped: Hooking Up in The Digital Age and It Will Be Chaos.

On Discovery Channel, Running Wild with Bear Grylls will start airing from September 18. On National Geographic, The Science of Stupid returns for a sixth season from September 17.

There’s new content for Arabic viewers too. OSN will be debuting three new Russian series exclusively on OSN Yahala Al Oula HD. Ta’ehat follows Katia as her life suddenly falls apart when her husband unexpectedly dies while away on a business trip, and the investigation into his death unearths his double life. Al Oumala’ gives viewers a touch of James Bond-style espionage but with a twist: the two lead characters are teachers. Asrar w Akatheeb is a murder mystery, which kicks off when a jogger finds the body of missing child while out on his daily run.
