Beyond Rights has secured deals for over 270 hours of scripted and unscripted programming with broadcasters in the Middle East and Africa.

In the Middle East, Beyond Rights and OSN inked a deal for a 190-hour package of factual programming. The deal includes Hitched in Vegas, Maternity 24/7 and seven seasons of Love It or List It.

AETN Africa acquired seasons seven and eight of Love It or List It, along with two seasons of Filthy House SOS. BBC Africa bought the U.K. version of Pooch Perfect, a competitive dog-grooming series produced by Beyond Productions. CBS acquired two true-crime series for Africa: Murder in the Outback: The Falconio and Lees Mystery and Handsome Devils.

Also in Africa, Azam Media acquired Halifax: Retribution for its international entertainment channel. The show, produced by Beyond Lonehand for Nine in Australia, stars Rebecca Gibney (Wanted, Packed to the Rafters) as forensic psychiatrist Jane Halifax, who returns to work on a difficult case with Commander Tom Saracen, played by Antony La Paglia (Riviera, Without a Trace).

For both the Middle East and Africa, Discovery MENA bought the fifth season of Abandoned Engineering.

“As broadcasters and platforms across Africa and the Middle East expand their reach and broaden their offering, we are seeing a growing opportunity for a wide range of our content,” said Holly Cowdery, VP of sales for the region at Beyond Rights. “These new deals demonstrate that top-quality programming, whether it’s a lifestyle title like Love It or List It, entertainment series such as Pooch Perfect or engaging drama like Halifax: Retribution, can readily find homes all over the world.”
