New President in Place at mun2

NEW YORK: NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content has named Ruben Mendiola as the president of the cable channel mun2.

Mendiola will be focused on developing and driving the channel's strategy and programming. He will provide leadership across the business. Mendiola will be working with the organization's senior management, with responsibility for identifying opportunities for mun2 to increase its distribution, drive ratings and align the organization for future growth. Most recently, Mendiola was with Comcast Cable and served as senior VP and general manager of multicultural services.

“Ruben's expertise and deep understanding of the U.S. Hispanic market will play an essential role in evolving this cable property into the future," said Joe Uva, the chairman for Hispanic Enterprises and Content at NBCUniversal.

"He and his team will develop and acquire content to build a relevant, high demand general entertainment cable network for the rapidly expanding U.S. Hispanic audience."
