Enfoca Inversiones Acquires Stake in Frecuencia Latina

LIMA: Enfoca Inversiones, one of the main investments groups in Peru, has acquired a stake in Compañía Latinoamericana de Radiodifusión, the owner of broadcaster Frecuencia Latina.

Enfoca Inversiones and Baruch Ivcher, the chairman of the board of Frecuencia Latina, will jointly control the company. With the transaction, Ivcher stated that “we will be able to accelerate the implementation of relevant projects for the channel, including the construction and equipping of four new production studios to maximize the presence of local content, as well as boost infrastructure, invest in new technology to increase digitalization of the channel and expand its reach. These improvements will strengthen our position in the sector, which we believe has great projections for the future.”

The company stated that Enfoca’s investment in diverse sectors has allowed the growth, development and strengthening of competition in the country. Jesús Zamora, the president of the board at Enfoca Inversiones, added: “This is the goal we have with the channel as we are very pleased with the results its team has garnered.”
