LONDON: YouTube Kids has rolled out in the U.K. and Ireland, on the heels of its strong performance in the U.S.

Since the launch of YouTube Kids in the U.S., it’s been downloaded more than 10 million times. Now, a local version of YouTube Kids is available to download for free on Google Play and the App Store.

Channels and playlists are available to browse in four categories: shows, music, learning and explore. Users can watch YouTube Kids on the big screen using Chromecast, Apple TV, game consoles or a smart TV.

"We’re so excited to bring YouTube Kids to the U.K. and Ireland, and look forward to your ideas too so that we can better help your family explore, learn and sing along," said Greg Dray, the head of kids and learning partnerships at YouTube. "And so from my family to yours, enjoy!"
