LOS ANGELES: Lawless Entertainment has partnered with d-rights to bring the animated series Nutri Ventures: The Quest for the 7 Kingdoms into the pan-Asian territory.

The pact will see d-rights help develop the Nutri Ventures brand by handling TV distribution as well as licensing and merchandising for countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China. The brand is slated to launch next summer, with d-rights expected to search for wider cooperation with relative partners in the Asian markets.

The series follows four friends on a quest to find kingdoms where real food remains and bring nutrition back to their world. It is broadcast in more than 32 countries worldwide. Lawless Entertainment represents Nutri Ventures in North America for television distribution, licensing and merchandising as well as in Asia Pacific for licensing and merchandising.

“Entering into the Asian market was always a priority for Nutri Ventures,” said Rui Lima Miranda, co-founder of Nutri Ventures. “But we wanted to have the right partner, with the right expertise and attitude to help build the brand. We found that in d-rights and we are totally confident they will increase Nutri Ventures’ success even more!”

Nutri Ventures is a great brand, and the only one in the world to encourage children to have a better and healthy diet,” said Shuji Wada, the president of d-rights. “In most of the Asian countries especially in those developing countries, families and parents are still not aware of the importance of healthy and balanced eating habits. We do feel there is a necessity to introduce Nutri Ventures to Asian parents and kids, although it may take time.”
