WBD Celebrates Tom and Jerry’s 85th Anniversary

To mark the 85th anniversary of Tom and Jerry, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) has laid out a year-long celebration, beginning with the kawaii-inspired short-form series Tom and Jerry Gokko.

“Bringing a kawaii spin to Tom and Jerry through Gokko is a timely way to refresh the aesthetics and tone of the brand without compromising its core DNA,” said Johanne Broadfield, group VP of regional franchise management and marketing and regional category management for EMEA at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.

The YouTube series, launched in July 2025, already has over 70 million views across platforms. To further build on this momentum, WBDGCP has debuted a Tom and Jerry Gokko filter on TikTok, and new Tom and Jerry Gokko lines are launching soon, including a collection at ASDA Home in the U.K.

At retail across EMEA, Tom and Jerry already has a strong cross-category presence. Recent licensing partnerships include with the likes of Converse.
