WarnerMedia Kids & Family has revealed its 2022 plans for Teen Titans Go!, including a feature-length TV-movie event and a series renewal.

Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse, a new animated TV movie from Warner Bros. Animation, is set to debut in May. The movie will see the DC Super Hero Girls team up with the Teen Titans to stop Lex Luthor and the world’s supervillains from capturing all of Earth’s superheroes.

The TV movie event will first be released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital on May 24. It will then make its debut on Cartoon Network on May 28, followed by an HBO Max premiere on June 28. Episodes of both Teen Titans Go! and DC Super Hero Girls will be included as bonus content on the Blu-ray and DVD.

The Teen Titans Go! series was also renewed for an eighth season by Cartoon Network, where it is slated to premiere later this year. Season eight will feature new characters from the DC Universe, including Beard Hunter, King Shark and many more.

As the longest-running animated series in DC history, the eighth season will also mark the series reaching its 400th episode.

“The undeniable success of Teen Titans Go!, with its signature blend of action and subversive superhero humor, is a testament to the phenomenal work of executive producer Pete Michail and the show team,” said Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios. “Seven seasons, one theatrical feature film, multiple specials, celebrity cameos and no end in sight, this show has carved out its own lane in the acclaimed legacy established by the original Teen Titans animated series.”
