ViacomCBS Networks International and Sky have entered into a multiyear deal in German-speaking markets, under which Nick Jr. and Nicktoons will launch on Sky platforms in these territories.

As part of the pact, Nick Jr. and Nicktoons content will now be available to Sky customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Nick Jr. and Nicktoons linear channels will be added to Sky’s portfolio alongside a package of VOD content, including more than 900 episodes from the Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. library.

Raffaele Annecchino, president of ViacomCBS Networks EMEA and Asia, commented: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Sky and offer Nick Jr. and NickToons fans in the GSA region their favorite shows on Sky platforms. With robust collaborations already in place in the U.K. and Italy, we truly value our partnership with Sky and are excited to be able to deliver premium kids’ content, both linear and on-demand, to more families in these regions.”

Manuel Kindervater, VP for partner channels/strategy at Sky Germany, added: “With the brands of Nickelodeon, we perfectly expand the strong Sky family portfolio. We are pleased that families will be able to enjoy the diverse program of Nick Jr. and NickToons with Sky and Sky Ticket from April; anytime linear or on-demand.”
