TV Kids Celebrates 25 Years of KiKA

The April/MIPTV edition of TV Kids and World Screen will celebrate the 25th anniversary of KiKA with a special report featuring interviews with Dr. Astrid Plenk, the managing and programming director, and Sebastian Debertin, the head of international content acquisitions in the programming and management department.

On January 1, 1997, Der Kinderkanal went live in Germany. A joint venture of the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF, KiKA has been entertaining and educating German kids for 25 years with live-action and animated programming, local and imported.
