Zodiak Kids & Family Productions UK, a part of Banijay Kids & Family, is set to produce a second season of the sci-fi adventure series Silverpoint.

A co-production with CBBC, ZDF and ZDF Studios, the new season will commence filming in Northern Ireland this month and will launch next year. Katy Byrne (Meg), Oliver Cunliffe (Louis), Aoife Hughes (Bea), Krish Misra (Glen) and Maiya Silveston (Kaz) are all returning to the cast.

At the end of season one, Louis, Kaz, Meg and Glen discover that they’re one of four groups of kids, each of which has its own alien Artefact. In season two, Silverpoint follows these four groups as they train for a game set in four alternate realities controlled by a mysterious extraterrestrial presence, fighting for the prize to save the world.

Cheryl Taylor, creative director at Zodiak Kids & Family Productions UK, said: “Silverpoint is a visually powerful drama with compelling characters and a unique and finely crafted storyline that has resonated with audiences globally. We’re fortunate to have many of the most talented creatives in the industry working on Silverpoint alongside a supremely talented cast of young actors. Zodiak Kids & Family is delighted to be bringing more tantalizing sci-fi adventures to our audience in this second series.”
