Rainbow is heading to MIPCOM 2017 with a slate that features fresh seasons of returning shows such as Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends, as well as the brand-new series 44 Cats.

The CGI preschool comedy 44 Cats is a character-driven series that follows the daily adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Polpetta, who are part of a music band called The Buffycats. The four kittens are homeless and find shelter in a garage they transform into the Clubhouse, where cats from the neighborhood get together to have fun.

44 Cats is a great physical, character-driven comedy with strong storylines based on very powerful musical assets,” said Cristiana Buzzelli, the company’s senior VP of licensing and acquisitions. “It is about how cats see the world and is very easy for young kids to relate to, both boys and girls. Key themes are friendship and altruism, and the stories will promote tolerance and diversity and offer important life lessons.”

Another highlight is the 26-episode second season of Regal Academy, about Rose Cinderella and her schoolmates, who are all descendants of fairytale characters. Rainbow’s first live-action show, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends, is also on deck, with 78 half-hours available. “We will showcase season three and two TV-movie specials,” Buzzelli added. “Rainbow is showcasing a raft of new series that will appeal to wider audiences than ever.”
