Rai Confirms Luca Milano as Head of Kids’ Division

The Italian public broadcaster Rai has confirmed Luca Milano as head of the kids’ division, Rai Ragazzi, after a reshuffle at the company.

Milano has been the executive director of Rai Ragazzi since June 2017, as well as chairperson of the kids’ media group at the European Broadcasting Union. Rai’s renewed kids’ division will be creating children’s content not only for the two kid-focused channels Rai Yoyo (preschool) and Rai Gulp, but also for the free VOD service Rai Play and eventually for children’s programs across all channels.

Under the new industrial plan, approved by Rai’s board, the company will be organized by genres (kids’ being one of them) instead of by TV channels. In the reshuffle, new directors were named for the channels Rai1, Rai2 and Rai3, as well as for other key departments.
