Pink Parrot Media has secured a broadcast deal with Sky for the animated comedy-adventure series Snowsnaps.

Snowsnaps premiered on Sky Kids and NOW TV on January 15, marking the first time the series was broadcast to young audiences in the U.K. Created by Marie-Claude Beauchamp and produced by Montreal-based Carpediem Film & TV in collaboration with animation studio Singing Frog, Snowsnaps launched in the U.S. on Disney Junior in November.

The preschool series, a spinoff of the animated film Snowtime, features first-grade best friends Violet and Tomas and their pals Sami and Kiki, who love to play outside and invent funny and silly games in the snow.

Additional broadcast partners for Snowsnaps include Canal + (France), YLE (Finland), E-Junior (UAE), Minika (Turkey), RTV Slovenia and S3 (Spain). KIKA (Germany) and ERR (Estonia) released additional runs as part of their 2020 winter programming.

Marie-Claude Beauchamp said: “We’ve developed this series to encourage young children to use their wonderful imaginations to create their own new games while inspiring them to discover their particular make-believe outdoor worlds. We are so excited to have Sky as our U.K. partner and to have this opportunity to bring these adored characters to homes across the U.K. for families to enjoy and experience. As we are all faced with staying at home, we hope that our Snowsnaps brings some joy and fun relief during these difficult times!”
