Dance Academy: The Comeback, a feature-length film that debuted in Australia earlier this year, is slated for theatrical release in the Netherlands this month.

Dance Academy: The Comeback is a spin-off of the hit live-action series for teens. The 97-minute movie centers on a gifted ballet student who is determined to still pursue her dancing career after a tragic accident. It was made by Werner Film Productions in association with ZDF and is globally distributed by ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE).

Peter Lang, the VP of ZDFE.junior, remarked: “The series Dance Academy was sold to more than 150 countries worldwide and has an international fan base, including on VOD platforms such as Amazon, Netflix, maxdome and iTunes. Now fans can look forward to the film and to seeing what happened next to Tara, Kat and the gang. Further licensing deals with other territories are close to being finalized.”
