Off-Broadway Musical Set for Sesame Street

Rockefeller Productions and Sesame Workshop have partnered for the new Off-Broadway stage production Sesame Street: The Musical, with previews set to begin on September 8.

The musical will feature Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Grover, Rosita, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, The Count, Gabrielle and a host of Honkers, Martians and more. Special guest stars from Broadway and beyond will join the Muppets onstage as they perform classic Sesame Street songs and brand-new numbers.

Jonathan Rockefeller is directing and producing the musical.

The opening night of Sesame Street: The Musical is set for September 22 at Theatre Row in New York City. Performances will run through November 27.
