Nickelodeon Gears Up for New Blue’s Clues Series

Nickelodeon’s brand-new preschool series Blue’s Clues & You!, a remake of the classic curriculum-driven series Blue’s Clues, is set to bow later this year.

Slated to debut on Nickelodeon on Monday, November 11, at 9 a.m., the show will see Steve Burns and Donovan Patton reprise their original roles as Steve and Joe, respectively, in the series premiere “Meet Josh!,” introducing the audience to the show’s new host (Joshua Dela Cruz). Launching alongside the series’ linear premiere are play-along videos that will allow users to explore the show’s stories in an immersive way.

Blue’s Clues & You! will feature brand-new elements alongside refreshed classic items from the original series, including new CG animation for Blue and Magenta; an updated Handy Dandy Notebook equipped with a new blue crayon and smartphone technology, allowing Josh and Blue to receive emails and video calls; an all-new Handy Dandy Guitar; the return of a slew of fan-favorite characters; and the introduction of Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper’s twins, Sage and Ginger.

The play-along videos launching alongside the show will be available on Noggin, Nick’s interactive learning subscription for preschoolers. Users will have the ability to customize elements, like the color of the clues or the creation of birthday cards for Blue and then see their designs appear throughout the videos. The classic Blue’s Clues library is currently available on Noggin and additional Blue’s Clues & You! play-along videos will continue to roll out into next year.

Following the series premiere of Blue’s Clues & You!, NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. app will feature original short-form content and full-length episodes. Episodes will also be available on Nick Jr. On Demand and downloadable from other services.

Blue’s Clues & You! follows Blue as she invites viewers to join her and Josh on a clue-led adventure and solve a puzzle in each episode. With each signature paw print, Blue identifies clues in her animated world that propel the story and inspire the audience to interact with the characters.

The original Blue’s Clues series launched in September 1996 and ran for six seasons.
