Nickelodeon Renews Rock Paper Scissors for More Seasons

Nickelodeon has renewed the animated series Rock Paper Scissors for second and third seasons of ten episodes each.

Produced by ​​Nickelodeon Animation, season two will launch this fall on Nickelodeon in the U.S. and internationally in 2026. In the meantime, viewers can watch season one on Paramount+ on May 28.

Rock Paper Scissors follows the three nominal characters of Rock, Paper and Scissors. The trio of best friends/roommates set out to make just about anything a competition, in hilarious spirit.

Rock Paper Scissors embodies the creative and character-driven storytelling we champion at Nickelodeon, and the show’s humor and heart has struck a chord with our audience,” said Ramsey Naito, president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation. “With an all-star cast that brings incredible energy, humor and depth to every character, we can’t wait to dive even deeper into the hilarious world these three best friends share.”

The animated comedy stars the voices of Ron Funches (Trolls, Trolls Band Together) as Rock, Thomas Lennon (Zoey 102, 17 Again, Reno 911!) as Paper and Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko’s Modern Life, Reno 911!) as Scissors. Other stars include Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live) as Pencil and Eddie Pepitone (The Muppets, Old School) as Lou.

Rock Paper Scissors was created by Kyle Stegina (Robot Chicken) and Josh Lehrman (Robot Chicken). Stegina and Lehrman serve as executive producers with Conrad Vernon (Shrek 5) and Bob Boyle (The Fairly OddParents). The production is overseen by Daniel Wineman, VP of original animation development, and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

In tandem with this renewal, Nickelodeon has greenlit 20 one-minute shorts that delve into the characters’ lives and adventures, debuting across Nickelodeon’s ecosystem later this year.
