Netflix Slates He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

A September premiere has been set for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, produced by Mattel Television, on Netflix.

Developed for television by Rob David (Masters of the Universe: Revelation), the CG animated series follows the rise of demonic tyrant Skeletor on the planet Eternia. He is hell-bent on capturing Eternia’s kingdoms and its ultimate prize, Castle Grayskull, the ancient fortress of mystery said to contain the greatest power in the universe—and it’s up to He-Man and his brave squad of rookie heroes to stop him.

Executive producers are David, Frederic Soulie (Masters of the Universe: Revelation), Adam Bonnett (Masters of the Universe: Revelation) and Christopher Keenan (Masters of the Universe: Revelation), with co-executive producer Jeff Matsuda (The Batman, TMNT) and producer Susan Corbin (Masters of the Universe: Revelation).

The series will debut on Netflix on September 16.
