Nelly Jelly Introduces Smartwatch for Safety

Nelly Jelly has introduced a smartwatch that has a two-way calling function to ensure parents and children have an avenue for safe communication during school hours.

While many schools across the U.S. and Europe are trying to limit or ban phone usage in classrooms, it is reported that parents are increasingly worried about their children’s safety at school, especially in the U.S., and want to stay connected. The new Nelly Jelly watch features a SIM card, 4G connectivity support, real-time GPS tracking and an SOS button and allows kids to make and receive calls and messages from pre-approved contacts.

Parents are able to track their children’s exact location and set up geofences that alert them if the children leave designated areas. Nelly Jelly’s visage gives a playful aspect to the watch for kids, and children can also embellish the watch with accessories.

In addition to the smartwatch, Nelly Jelly has a range of back-to-school items on offer, including wireless headphones, an educational game and stationery. The headphones are designed with a sound limit of 85 dB to protect children’s hearing, preventing the volume from ereaching harmful levels. The electronic game Talking Cards helps kids learn the alphabet, colors, shapes, seasons and kind words.

“As a mother, I understand the stress that comes with sending your child alone off to school or after-school activities or with leaving your child in a new school,” said Simona Krasauskienė, CEO of NJ World. “It’s a challenging time for both parents and kids, and the need to stay connected is important. Our smartwatch with a calling function provides parents with peace of mind and offers children an engaging experience by enhancing safety and communication without contributing to endless screen time.

“We recognize that technological innovations bring both benefits and challenges, but it’s clear that parents need to stay connected with their children without disrupting valuable learning time. As this need grows, we are ready to offer other tried-and-tested gadgets.”
