KPN Launches DreamWorks in the Netherlands

NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) has partnered with KPN to launch the 24-hour kids’ and family entertainment HD channel DreamWorks in the Netherlands.

DreamWorks is set to become available with a limited schedule to all KPN iTV customers from July 23. The channel will roll out a full schedule in September. Among the channel’s signature series viewers can look forward to having access to are The Adventures of Puss in BootsDragons: Riders of Berk and Home Adventures with Tip & Oh.

Lee Raftery, managing director at NBCUniversal International Networks for EMEA, said: “We’re proud to bring DreamWorks’ animated series and beloved characters to Dutch viewers by partnering with KPN via the channel’s first-ever carriage agreement in the Netherlands. We’re confident that the compelling range of award-winning content—for the whole family—will enhance the overall entertainment experience of KPN’s iTV customers.”

Stijn Nuijten, KPN director of marketing for the consumer market, added: “KPN continues to create the best content proposition for its TV customers. We are delighted to welcome DreamWorks to our TV platform, adding a variety of classic animated titles for children.”
