Mouk Animated Series to Debut in Spain

MADRID: Mouk, a book-based French animated show produced by Millimages, is slated to begin airing on Clan in Spain early next week.

Mouk follows the adventures of two friends as they explore the world on their bicycles. The series, commissioned by France Télévisions and Disney Channel UK, is based on the book Around the World with Mouk, penned by Marc Boutavant. It is scheduled to premiere on Clan in Spain on Monday, April 18.

Nottingham Forest, the L&M agent for Mouk in Spain and Portugal, has inked a deal with Ediciones SM for the development of story books in Spain. SM has released four story books with activities (Mouk in Japan, Mouk in Canada, Mouk in Senegal and Mouk in India), as well as the Activity Book of Mouk. This launch follows the publication of Around the World with Mouk by SM in fall 2014.

SM’s publishing company Cruïlla has published La volta al món de Muk and Activitats per descubrir el món amb el Muk. Both were translated into Catalan for Catalonia. Books can be purchased at FNAC, El Corte Ingles, Casa del Libro, Carrefour, Auchan, Hipercor and bookstores throughout Spain.
