Moonbug Pacts with Amagi to Expand Linear Streaming

Moonbug Entertainment has partnered with Amagi to create and distribute linear channels on FAST platforms in the U.S.

Moonbug’s lineup includes CoComelon, Blippi, My Magic Pet Morphle, Little Baby Bum and ARPO, among others. Using Amagi’s cloud playout platform, CLOUDPORT, Moonbug created the 24/7 linear channel Moonbug Kids and distributed its content to FAST platforms such as The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus for audiences in the U.S.

Andy Yeatman, head of the Americas at Moonbug, said: “Implementing the Amagi cloud platform has helped us automate and customize our workflows to a great extent, resulting in significant improvements in efficiency. Amagi has deep technical integration with leading streaming TV platforms in North America, Europe and other growth markets. This partnership allows us to scale faster and reach audiences on different platforms, across regions.”

Srinivasan KA, co-founder of Amagi, said: “Moonbug has quickly evolved as a favorite content destination for kids in the streaming TV world. Through our partnership, Moonbug is well-placed for future distribution across the world- be it on streaming TV platforms, owned and operated apps, or traditional cable TV.”
