Mia and me Set for the Big Screen

Studio 100 Media’s feature film The Hero of Centopia, based on its series Mia and me, is slated to launch in theaters in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland on May 26.

The film sees Mia embark on an adventure to the most remote islands of Centopia, where she faces a powerful enemy and takes her destiny into her own hands. Ahead of its launch in theaters, The Hero of Centopia will screen at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17 and 18.

The co-production between Studio 100 Media, Studio B Animation and Broadvision Services was executive produced by Martin Krieger, Thorsten Wegener, Barbara Stephen and Sriram Chandrasekaran.

Following its debut in select countries on May 26, the film will release in France, Spain and French-speaking Switzerland on July 20, in Hungary on August 11 and in Bulgaria on September 23. Additional sales for the film have occurred in Latin America, Taiwan, Portugal, Poland and the Balkans. Viva Kids has acquired the film’s U.S. distribution rights and is planning a release for 2023.

Mia and me will definitely be a favorite for young audiences.”
