Magic Light Pictures Bolsters Licensing Team

Magic Light Pictures has made a series of promotions and new hires to expand its licensing department and maximize growth opportunities.

Aidan Taylor-Gooby, who has served as head of licensing since 2022, has been promoted to licensing director. Among his achievements with the company so far are delivering the launch of the Pip and Posy licensing program and expanding The Gruffalo brand’s licensing activity in the U.K. and internationally.

Magic Light has also upped Bridie Gibbs, who will now serve as senior product development manager to lead creative development for all licensing activity in the U.K. across Gruffalo and Pip and Posy. Gibbs has been with the company for six years and is supported by Hannah McKevitt, product development executive, and Ella Richardson, product development assistant.

Jade Ferguson joined Magic Light over a year ago as U.K. licensing manager and has grown the role from a focus on softlines to covering all categories in the U.K. She is now supported by Dylan Tuley, who recently joined as licensing assistant.

“Aidan has done a brilliant job growing our licensing business and leading the department, and his well-deserved promotion reflects this success,” said Martin Pope and Michael Rose, joint managing directors of Magic Light Pictures. “Bridie and Jade also bring huge expertise to their respective areas, combining creative understanding with entrepreneurial zeal, and they’ll be ably supported by Hannah and our newer team members, Ella and Dylan.”
