m4e Takes Mia and me into China

MUNICH: m4e has brokered a deal with UYoung Culture & Media, which will represent all TV, home-entertainment and digital rights for Mia and me in mainland China.

UYoung is planning a rollout across multiple platforms in early 2017. Created by Gerhard Hahn and produced by Hahn & m4e Productions, Mia and me has already been sold into more than 80 territories worldwide. Season three will be available in early 2017, while season four and a feature film are currently in development.

“The challenge of bringing our popular and successful TV series Mia and me to China has always been huge. We finally succeeded in finding the perfect partner for this endeavor in UYoung,” said Bernd Conrad, m4e’s commercial director for the Asian markets. “We are looking forward to growing a prosperous partnership with UYoung.”

Clara Yang, the general manager of UYoung acquisition and distribution, added: “It is exciting to become the exclusive agent for m4e on Mia and me. We strongly believe this hybrid of CGI‐animation and live action will be welcomed by tens of millions of viewers across multiplatforms in China.”
