LONDON: Next month, the long-running hit series Sesame Street is slated to return to the U.K. on Turner’s preschool channel Cartoonito.

Sesame Street‘s latest installment is due to debut on Cartoonito on November 7 at 4 p.m. It will feature new opening and closing songs, an updated set, a Cookie Monster segment and a new cast member named Nina. The season will have 30-minute episodes instead of the previous hour-long format, and will feature such celebrity guests as Gwen Stefani, Pharrell, Nick Jonas and Ne-Yo.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the timeless and acclaimed U.S. preschool series Sesame Street to Cartoonito,” said Sean Gorman, programming director for kids’ channels in the U.K. and Ireland at Turner. “For over four decades now, Sesame Street has been helping children grow smarter, stronger and kinder, and we’re delighted to be driving these engaging and educational messages to our young U.K. audience in such a fun and entertaining way!”

“Children will be counting numbers with The Count, practicing inner strength with Elmo, and understanding the importance of kindness with Abby,” added Maura Regan, the senior VP and general manager of international media business at Sesame Workshop. “Every day is a learning adventure on Sesame Street, and we are excited that Cartoonito viewers can now join in the fun.”
