KiKA Sets Premiere of Super Wings

HÖHENKIRCHEN/MUNICH: The animated preschool series Super Wings is debuting on German kids’ channel KiKA next month.

The 52×11-minute series will premiere on January 25, 2017 and will air Monday to Sunday as a double feature at 6:15 p.m. Super Wings follows the adventures of Jett, a self‐assured jet plane who travels around the world to deliver special packages to children.

The series is an international co-production by South Korea’s FunnyFlux, EBS and CJ E&M, U.S.-based Little Airplane Productions, China’s QianQi Animation and KiKA. Super Wings, which is intended for kids aged 4 to 7, airs across Europe in France, Spain, Italy and Sweden.

The licensing program for Super Wings is already growing in Germany. In German-speaking territories, the master toy line will be distributed, marketed and promoted by Giochi Preziosi Germany in strategic alliance with Stadlbauer Marketing + Vertrieb, which is responsible for sales. The toys will be presented at the upcoming International Toy Fair in Nuremberg and the line will be available at retail from March 2017. m4e has already appointed additional licensees in German-speaking territories, including Clementoni for puzzles and games, Amijoc/Beluga for beach and outdoor toys, Procos for party goods and Famosa for plush.
