A Thomas & Friends programming event is slated to run from December 14 to 25 and will be complemented by a Watch and Win contest on the Family Jr. website. Other highlights include a full day of seasonal content on Christmas Day, and a Wizard of Oz-inspired Kate & Mim-Mim special.

Family Channel’s holiday lineup kicks off tomorrow with the network premiere of Get Santa, followed by The Flight Before Christmas on December 9, Santa’s Apprentice on December 10, Scoot and Kassie’s Christmas Adventure on December 16, and Hank Zipzer and the Christmas Catastrophe on December 17. From December 19 to 25, the channel will air such movies as Elf, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Bob’s Broken Sleigh.

This month will also see Family Channel air the Backstage season finale (December 9), The Next Step season four winter finale (December 16) and a special presentation of Lost & Found Music Studios (December 16). From December 26 to January 6, there will be a post-Christmas lineup that includes daily series marathons and movies.

Beginning on December 16, viewers can enter Family’s Big Give Contest on the channel’s website for the chance to win a winter vacation. Throughout the month, the Family Channel app will feature holiday-themed episodes and movies, with new content being added regularly. Programming can be watched without a Wi-Fi connection by using the Download to Go feature. Select content from Family’s lineup will also become available on Family OnDemand.
