Hopster Joins Maxis On-Demand Service

BALI: Kids’ OTT service Hopster is being added to the VOD platform operated by Malaysia’s Maxis.

Maxis delivers communications and data services to 11 million customers in Malaysia. Hopster will be offered to those subscribers at a special rate following a two-month free trial. In addition, streaming of Hopster content won’t incur any data charges. Hopster delivers shows like Thomas & Friends and Teletubbies, plus educational games for kids to play on their mobiles and tablets.

“As Malaysian families become ever more connected by mobile broadband, we think there’s a unique opportunity for services like Hopster to join their growing video-on-demand offerings,” said Hopster founder and CEO, Nick Walters.
