Gabby’s Dollhouse, Ms. Rachel Lead Netflix Kids Viewing Chart

A new study of kids’ viewing numbers on Netflix in the first half of this year highlights the success of Gabby’s Dollhouse, Ms. Rachel and KPop Demon Hunters.

“This represents a dynamic period in the Netflix kids’ landscape,” said Emily Horgan, creator of the Netflix Kids Content Performance Report and former Disney executive. “Gabby’s Dollhouse reaching the top demonstrates the strength that Netflix original preschool content can have, while breakthrough hits like Ms. Rachel and KPop Demon Hunters show the platform’s ability to support diverse content that resonates across age groups. Universal’s sustained dominance across both movies and series underscores the enduring power of established animation studios despite the uncertain media landscape.”

Gabby’s Dollhouse was the platform’s top-performing kids’ show globally, while Ms. Rachel season two was Netflix’s biggest kids’ launch in its reporting history. KPop Demon Hunters is demonstrating its crossover appeal, driving engagement across streaming, music and YouTube.

Horgan also identified NBCUniversal’s dominance on Netflix, with DreamWorks/Illumination movies and series accounting for 18 percent of engagement among kids on Netflix, with some 2.5 billion hours viewed.
