Mattel is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its global children’s brand Fireman Sam with a special royal-themed episode today.

Titled “The Prince in Pontypandy,” the special episode includes all of the original characters from the very first episode and was produced specifically to mark the brand’s 30th anniversary. The one-off will feature a kind prince who visits Pontypandy on official royal duties and ends up having to use his helicopter rescue skills to save the day with Fireman Sam. “The Prince in Pontypandy” is set to air in the U.K. on Cartoonito and Channel 5’s Milkshake!

“The Prince in Pontypandy” is also slated to be released next year around the world as part of Fireman Sam season 11. Mattel and DHX created the special episode to honor the show’s heritage. Fireman Sam was first broadcast on November 17, 1987. The series has been broadcast in more than 155 territories around the world and translated into 36 languages.
