Disney Channel Readies Original Movie Spin

The new Disney Channel original movie Spin is set to star Avantika Vandanapu (Diary of a Future President) and be directed by Manjari Makijany (Desert Dolphin).

Spin follows an Indian American 15-year-old named Rhea Kumar (Vandanapu) who discovers her artistic side through the world of DJ culture, learning that she has a passion for creating mixes that blend the textures of her Indian heritage and the world around her. Written by Carley Steiner (Play Date) and Josh Cagan (The Duff), Spin is slated to debut on Disney Channel in 2021.
