LONDON: Cartoon Network has teamed up with the LEGO Group to support the all-new Nexo Knights toy range and Merlok 2.0 gaming app, both of which are connected to the new series airing on the channel.

The partnership coincides with the launch of the LEGO animated series Nexo Knights, which currently airs on Cartoon Network daily at 6 p.m. As part of the pact, the channel will promote both the Nexo Knights toy range and the gaming app across its television and digital platforms throughout the month.

The partnership includes a 30” webdrive, which introduces children to the toy range and asks them to “U-Knight” for a special Cartoon Network quest by accessing the Nexo Knights microsite hosted by CartoonNetwork.co.uk. Additionally, Cartoon Network has created online traffic drivers, including banners, that will run live from today until March 4.

Zara Peters, the sponsorship and promotions director at Turner Broadcasting, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the LEGO Group to help launch the Nexo Knights toy range and digital gaming app. It also ties in nicely with the recent launch of the brand new Nexo Knights series on Cartoon Network, which we’re very excited about! The partnership comes off the back of a number of successful partnerships of LEGO product launches, especially those for which we air content such as the highly successful Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Justice League: Batman Be-Leaguered and Mixels.”
