Cartoon Network-Branded Block Comes to Trans TV

JAKARTA: Turner Asia Pacific and Trans Media Corpora have secured a deal that sees a Cartoon Network-branded block launching on national free-to-air station Trans TV in Indonesia this week.

The branded block will feature top original content from Turner’s flagship kids’ channel, including Adventure Time, We Bare Bears, The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls reboot. Cartoon Network programming launches on Trans TV from September 17 and will air every Saturday and Sunday starting at 1 p.m. All shows will be available dubbed in Bahasa Indonesia.

Phil Nelson, the managing director of Turner in Southeast Asia, said, “Trans TV is one of the largest free-to-air networks and is part of a leading multiplatform media group in Indonesia. We are sure that this deal will help to increase Cartoon Network’s brand resonance locally. Dubbed in local language, this block will allow us to reach new audiences and grow the popularity of our original titles.”

Atiek Nur Wahyuni, CEO of Trans TV, said, “Cartoon Network is the number one kids’ channel in Asia Pacific. We are pleased to deliver to the Indonesian kids and families quality programs that are proven and have been enjoyed by so many around the world.”
